SWEET UNIPORT: Uniport Shut Down As Students Sets Omuokiri- Aluu Community On Fire | Pay Back Time

We're Just Been Informed Right Now that the Students of the University of Port Harcourt,{UNIPORT} went on the rampage today, being Tuesday, protesting the murder of four of their colleagues who were Beaten and later Burnt To Death by youths in Omuokiri-Aluu community last Friday.

The UNIPORT STUDENTS decided to set ablaze no fewer than 12 houses in the community even as the university has been shut down by the school authorities.

Spokesman of the university, DrWilliam Wordi confirmed the closure of the school to the when he was called on his mobile phone. He also assured all students of the University, and the general public that he was going to send an official statement.
Taking things further, Students from other institution has under the aegis of National Association of Nigeria Students,NANS, stormed the university Of Port Harcourt to mobilise students in Port Harcourt to protest against the brutal killing of three of their colleagues and one other by riotous youths in Omuokiri-Aluu community last week Friday.

The Uniport rampaging students blocked the East West road for several hours before allegedly marching to Omuokiri-Aluu community to start wrecking, creating havoc in the Community and decided, to use the same fire which was used in burning their fellow 4 colleagues, to burn several houses in Aluu Community.

As at the Time Of Publishing this article, the students has light up to twelve houses in the Community.

We also gathered that while the rampaging students were on the East West road, they reportedly insisted that they would only move out of the road after the Vice Chancellor of The University, Prof Joseph Ajienka had addressed them.

The Vice Chancellor reportedly obliged them after securing assurances that he would not be rough handled or beaten by the Now Most ANGERED students in Nigeria.

Anonymous Sources said that while the Vice Chancellor came to plead with the students to shun any temptation to be violent to the ALUU COMMUNITY, some of the students immediately started hurling sachet water at him.

We also gathered that it took the timely intervention of security operatives to whisk him away from the wrath of the Angry Mob. As at the time of publishing this article, security operatives had been drafted to help solve the situation which is on-going in The ALUU COMMUNITY, as The University Of Port students are just laying fire on every single house along the Now deserted street.
